1‑on‑1 Chat: Week 9-10 (Covering Weeks 7 & 8)#

The Creative Phase!
Welcome to Week 9! We have moved past just talking about problems and are now focusing on creating actual solutions. This interview is going to look at your creative brainstorming, your experience with prototyping, and how your team handles giving and receiving feedback.

It’s normal to feel…
Excited, stuck, defensive about ideas, or unsure when getting feedback. Creative work often feels messier and more personal than earlier stages.

Structure (how we’ll use the 15 minutes)#

  • 0–5 min: Check‑in. How are you feeling about the project right now?

  • 5–10 min: Prototyping & ideation. How you explored ideas and tested them quickly.

  • 10–15 min: Feedback & presentations. How your team gives and receives feedback.

How to prepare#

  • Bring any notes, photos of paper prototypes, or links to Figma designs.

  • Think of one example of feedback you gave or received recently.

  • Focus on how you worked, not how polished the artefacts look.

Topics to Think About (Weeks 7–8)#

  1. Software Prototyping (Paper vs Digital)

    • Which prototyping approach did you prefer, and why?

    • What did you learn when other teams tested your paper prototype?

    • Why is it useful to fail quickly with sketches instead of coding straight away?

  2. Divergent Thinking

    • What was one “wild” idea your team generated?

    • How did you decide which ideas to keep and which to drop?

  3. Giving and Receiving Feedback

    • Have you given or received fast, behaviour‑based feedback recently?

    • How did it feel to give or hear that feedback?

    • Why do we focus on observable behaviour rather than guessing someone’s attitude?

Action plan#

Leave with a clear agreement on which features you are implementing for the MVP and what is the next action you can take.
